Auditions
PTUK opened registration to enter this amazing project in June 2007.
The
search was on to find and the most outstanding aspiring unsigned talent
in the UK!
1500 people registered to stand a chance to win the amazing rewards and
development on offer.
First round Auditions were held in London, Nottingham, Birmingham, Leeds
and Manchester. All auditions were attended by 5 music industry A&R
judges who gave constructive feedback to all auditioning artists.
The
judges put through between 20-40 acts per region through to a second
Heat Stage.
Heat Stages
The Heat Stages saw the most outstanding regional talent go through a development, audition and public showcase day and evening that took place in London, Birmingham and Manchester.
The days events were split into three sections. The day started with all artists going through vocal training and vocal warm up excersises, then there was a second round of auditions with the most outstanding 20 acts going into an evening showcase event.
The pressure was on for the 20 acts as they had to perform in front of hundreds of people, top A&Rs (Warner, Virgin, SonyBMG, Shalit Global, Music World) and local press to secure their place in the Project Talent UK lab / Final Awards Show and ultimately putting themselves in with a chance to win the deal of their life! Four acts per region were chosen to go to the Academy.
The talent was so hot that the judges had a real battle trying to agree on who would make it through. As a result they identified an additional 3 acts per city that they wanted to put though to the Final.
These extra artists now go to an industry and public vote to see which one will secure the last exclusive Wild Card place at the Final ( check the wildcard page).

The Final
The Project Talent UK Final Award Showcase will see the best 12 artists showcase at the brand new state-of-the-art venue, Indigo2 (North Greenwich) along with top UK guest performers.
Project Talent UK has toured the UK and seen a tremendous amount of talented people in London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds and Manchester. We at PTUK were astounded with the level of talent and the support all artists and general public showed each other. Unfortunately only 12 acts could go through to the FINAL!
The artists will be performing to win record deals, management deals, artist development and production deals. We will have judges representing both major and independent record labels and management companies from the music industry.
The award show will also reward the most outstanding team and individuals working in the areas of fashion designers, music producers as well as film & media all of whom would have worked with the artists in a one week long residential academy supporting them as they prepare for their grand showcase in a way that mirrors the industry, giving real life experience to all of the creative individuals who participate in Project Talent UK.
The Final will be filmed and broadcast on the brand new Myspace TV. The event will be attended by celebrities, key industry professionals and all key press. Come and see the stars of the future!!
