What is Project Talent UK?
PROJECT TALENT UK is a unique vision of four separate creative initiatives coming together to give participants various platforms to demonstrate their creative talent. The project will bridge the gap between industry pathways and young creative’s by setting up a program that helps progress them in their careers and builds the stepping stones for their future through a project which offers real life cross sector interaction. The four creative initiatives are vocal artistry, fashion, media and music production.
By way of an example: the couture designer (fashion) is heavily dependent upon the Oscar-nominated actress (film) or the latest Brit Award winning band (music) to wear their cutting edge designs on the red carpet and at the awards podium. These are important ingredients for successful business exposure, market access and growth. Indeed, the importance of ‘star power’ is evident in creative industries from music and film to fashion and architecture.
The inclusion of media and creative industry partners in PROJECT TALENT provides clear routes into employment and work-based learning, giving added value and relevance.
Winning participants from music production, fashion, hair & beauty and media will be put into teams with the vocal artists and come together to create a real-life working scenario which will take the artists through making a record in the studio, to a photo shoot and then a music video. This process will be mentored by key high profile industry professionals.
A final event showcase event, taking place in London this November, will feature all twelve performers, freshly styled and newly polished to their full potential. They will perform in front of a panel of judges as well as a massive audience of 1000 members of the public and the media. The judging panel will distribute a range of prizes including:
- Development deal with Music World Entertainment International
- Jobs with top fashion, film and salons organisations
- Cash investment for the musical development to the most successful artists
- A digital single record deal
- Production deal with top UK & US producers
- £1000s worth of music making equipment
- Appear on the Urban Voice Album
